Directors Statement
Love in the Smoking Section, was created to show the complexities of love and its
effects on a young man’s ego. It is my hope that those who watch the film see a
hidden emotional realm that is not often expressed. I wish that anyone that has gone
through a situation like this finds comfort in knowing that they aren’t alone. The
mission of this film is to convince anyone that is hiding their sadness and
embarrassment from those around them to express the thoughts and feelings that
haunt them. The mind can only hold so much to itself before a breaking point is
reached.
